I've been to Texas, but never to Austin and I must say........I'm intrigued.
Not only is SXSW held there every March (a huge film and music festival)
and the Texas Style Council Conference (with a chance to meet your favorite bloggers!)
BUT it's also known as the 'Live Music Capital of the World' and after doing some investigating, I can see why. TONS of music festivals and live shows scheduled for this year!
But probably the absolute best reason to visit Austin is this................

Now that sounds like a little piece of heaven to me.
Yes, you MUST go to Austin! I've only been there once, but had an amazing time...it has a really fun and relaxed vibe, and the vintage shopping to fantastic! The nightlife is so great...you just wander down the street and every bar has someone playing live music. Many are totally free, you just mosey in and have a beer and leave when you feel like it...so fun!
ReplyDeleteOne thing, though: the weather! it's wicked hot in the summer & fall and all year 'round the humidity is insane. It's so fun though! I highly recommend you visit :-)
i always hear good things about Austin which seem unbelievable. I mean...Texas is just REALLY hot to me. I have plenty of friends that RAVE about it though.
